FARNBOROUGH, United Kingdom, July 20, 2026: Airbus Helicopters and Saudi Arabia’s The Helicopter Company (THC) have announced a firm order for eight additional Airbus H145 helicopters at the Farnborough International Airshow.
The helicopters are scheduled for delivery between 2027 and 2028 under the framework agreement signed by Airbus and THC at Verticon in 2024. The original agreement covers up to 120 Airbus helicopters of various types to be delivered over the next three to five years.
The latest order supports THC’s fleet expansion strategy and will strengthen its growing portfolio of services, including Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and other mission-critical operations across Saudi Arabia and international markets.
Captain Arnaud Martinez, CEO of THC, said the additional H145 helicopters reflect the strong partnership the company has built with Airbus over the past six years. He added that the investment in a modern and flexible fleet will enhance operational capabilities, support future growth, and help expand THC’s presence both within Saudi Arabia and internationally.
Matthieu Louvot, CEO of Airbus Helicopters, said the new order demonstrates THC’s confidence in Airbus’ multi-mission helicopters. He noted that the H145 has already proven its performance in Saudi Arabia’s demanding operating conditions and will continue to support the Kingdom’s expanding aviation sector.
THC has played a key role in developing Saudi Arabia’s commercial helicopter industry, using the H145 for Emergency Medical Services and other specialised missions. The latest order also supports the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 objectives by strengthening aviation infrastructure and expanding access to advanced helicopter services.
The Airbus H145 is a twin-engine multi-mission helicopter known for its versatility, reliability and strong performance in demanding environments. More than 1,800 H145 helicopters are currently in service worldwide, having accumulated over 8.6 million flight hours.
