Malik Khuda Baksh Elected New Chairman of Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association

Karachi (August 2, 2026): The Executive Committee of the Pakistan Petroleum Dealers
Association (PPDA) has elected senior leader Malik Khuda Baksh as the new Chairman of
the Association with an 85 percent majority.

According to details, the Executive Committee of the Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association
(PPDA) met today to make key decisions regarding the future leadership of the Association.
As PPDA’s long-serving leader Abdul Sami Khan, now over 94 years of age, has become
inactive in the day-to-day affairs of the Association, the Executive Committee decided to elect
a new Chairman in the best interests of petroleum dealers across the country.

The Executive Committee meeting was held on Sunday under the chairmanship of Vice
Chairman Anwar Kamal. A total of 25 members from Karachi and other parts of Pakistan
participated in the meeting, both physically and online. The members elected Malik Khuda
Baksh as the new Chairman of PPDA by an overwhelming majority.

The Executive Committee acknowledged his 50 years of dedicated and selfless service to
the Association and recognized his long-standing commitment, declaring him the most
suitable person for the position.

In recognition of his exceptional leadership and invaluable contributions, the Executive
Committee unanimously approved the appointment of Abdul Sami Khan as the Chief
Patron of the Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association.

The PPDA Executive Committee consists of 30 members, of whom 25 attended the meeting
either in person or via Zoom. During the voting process, 24 members, including the Vice
Chairman and Senior Vice Chairman, voted in favor of Malik Khuda Baksh, resulting in
his election as Chairman.

The Executive Committee also unanimously nominated Baber Ali Chaudhry as the
Secretary Information of PPDA, with the support of all 25 members present at the meeting.
Abdul Sami Khan, Wasim Qadri, and Zahid Ansari did not attend the meeting.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Executive Committee congratulated Malik Khuda
Baksh on his election and expressed confidence that under his leadership, PPDA would
continue to work effectively for the protection of the rights, welfare, and interests of
petroleum dealers across Pakistan.
