KARACHI (August 10, 2026): Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and the Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association (PPDA) held a meeting yesterday, during which detailed discussions were held on various issues concerning the petroleum retail sector and matters of mutual interest between PPDA and PSO.
According to PPDA Secretary Information Babar Ali Choudhary, the meeting was attended by PPDA Chairman Malik Khuda Bakhsh, Vice Chairman Tariq Hassan, Anwar Kamal, Saeed Khan, Anwar Haider, Ameer Khan and Rizwan. Representing PSO were Chief Commercial Officer Ameer Saif, Deputy Chief Commercial Officer (South) Raja Imran, Asad Raza Faiz (Consumer Business), Kashif Sadiqui, Regional Head South Commercial Sales Khawaja Amir, and Business Manager Commercial Sales Karachi Amjad Khan.
PPDA Chairman Malik Khuda Bakhsh stressed the importance of proper allocation and uninterrupted supply of Force lubricants, saying that fair and adequate supplies of lubricants according to the requirements of dealers’ outlets should be ensured.
The PPDA delegation also expressed serious concerns over the significant difference between prevailing market prices of lubricants and the official prices at retail outlets. The delegation pointed out that this price disparity was causing substantial financial losses to the principal. The PSO management agreed to conduct a survey to investigate the matter and assess the situation.
The PSO management assured the PPDA delegation that all issues raised during the meeting would be reviewed and resolved on a priority basis.
PSO also requested the continued cooperation of PPDA and its members to ensure that fuel purchases and supplies remain exclusively through PSO retail outlets. The PSO management said that with the continued support of PPDA and its members, PSO would be able to maintain smooth and uninterrupted operations while further strengthening business cooperation between the two organizations. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to mutual coordination, cooperation and timely resolution of outstanding issues, with the aim of safeguarding the interests of the petroleum dealers’ community.
