S.M. Tanveer, Zubair Tufail, Khalid Tawab, Hanif Gohar, Tariq Haleem, Captain Abro and others express condolences
KARACHI (Commerce Reporter): Muhammad Yahya Polani, former Chairman of the Travel Agents Association, former member of the Executive Committee of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), and a prominent personality of the travel industry, passed away during the intervening night of Sunday and Monday. He was laid to rest at a local graveyard on Monday. His funeral prayer was offered at Memon Pahari Mosque and was attended by a large number of members of the Memon community, business community, city elders, and representatives of various trade, industrial, social welfare and charitable organisations.
Following the death of his father, Haji Siddiq Polani, a renowned social figure of the Memon community, Yahya Polani continued to actively participate in various welfare activities. He was widely known as a popular, warm-hearted and cheerful personality.
The business community has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of Yahya Polani. United Business Group (UBG) Patron-in-Chief S.M. Tanveer, President Zubair Tufail, Khalid Tawab, Hanif Gohar, Central Spokesperson Gulzar Firoz, Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association Chairman Malik Khuda Bakhsh, former FPCCI Vice Presidents Tariq Haleem and Captain Abdul Rasheed Abro, Mian Zahid Hussain and other business leaders expressed heartfelt sorrow over the death of Muhammad Yahya Polani.
They termed his death a great shock and an irreparable loss not only for his family but also for the country’s business community and social and welfare circles.
The UBG leaders and other personalities conveyed their condolences to Yahya Polani’s son Safwan Polani, brothers Tariq Polani and Wahab Polani, and other members of the bereaved family. They said that Yahya Polani was held in the highest esteem and respect for his vision, dedication, honesty and valuable services to the business and industrial sectors.
His exceptional leadership, professional capabilities and services to the business community will always be remembered with great respect and appreciation. During his distinguished professional career, Yahya Polani left behind a lasting legacy of excellence, commitment, dedication and professionalism.
They said that the void created by his death would certainly be difficult to fill. They expressed solidarity with the bereaved family in this difficult hour.
They prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased, elevate his ranks and grant him the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous. Ameen.
