SOUTH ZONE GROUP SWEEPS REAP ELECTION 2026, WINS ALL SEATS

Karachi: The South Zone Group (SZG), under the dynamic leadership of Group Chairman Mr. Abdul Rahim Janoo (S.I.), has achieved a historic and overwhelming victory in the REAP Election 2026, securing all seats unopposed. The remarkable success reflects the confidence, trust, unity, and continued support of the members of Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP) in the leadership and vision of the South Zone Group.

As part of the new leadership arrangement, Mr. Muhammad Raza has been nominated as Chairman REAP, while Mr. Faisal Anis Majeed has been nominated as Treasurer REAP.

Given below are names of successful candidates, elected unopposed, who will take Oath in REAP’s Annual General Meeting to be held on 30th September, 2026 at Karachi:

1.       Mr. Muhammad Raza

2.       Mr. Asif Ali Shaikh

3.       Mr. Faisal Anis Majeed

4.       Mr. Kazim Khandwala

5.       Mr. Syed Abdul Mateen

6.       Mr. Abdul Wahid Mianoor

7.       Mr. Moaz Irfan

8.       Mr. Asif Abdul Ghaffar

9.       Mr. Ashok Kumar Essarani

10.   Mr. Anand Ram Badlani

Ms. Farhat Rasheed Janmohammad has been nominated for Ladies Special Seat from South Zone.

South Zone Group also extended its heartfelt congratulations and appreciation to the outgoing REAP Office Bearers, Malik Faisal Jahangir, Chairman, Mr. Muhammad Jawed Jillani, Senior Vice Chairman, Mr. Mohibullah, Vice Chairman, along with all outgoing Executive Committee Members from both South and North Zones.

Group Chairman, Mr. Abdul Rahim Janoo (S.I.) stated that the victory is a testament to the unity and collective strength of South Zone Group. The Group Leadership expressed its deepest gratitude to all its voters, supporters, and well-wishers for demonstrating overwhelming support, unity, confidence, and loyalty throughout the election process.

“United We Win” remains the Group’s guiding principle, he said, adding that South Zone Group has maintained an unbroken record of success and, since 2000, not a single seat was lost in REAP Elections. He further emphasized that the overwhelming mandate reflects the confidence of REAP members in the Group’s leadership and its commitment to working for the progress, welfare, and development of the rice export industry.

SZG Leadership reiterated that it will continue to promote unity, harmony, cooperation, and collective representation within REAP and will work together with all members for the strengthening of Pakistan’s rice export sector.

The Group also paid special tribute to Mr. M. Jawed Tarmohammad for his untiring efforts and longstanding contribution toward bringing REAP members together and promoting unity at every forum.
