A new generation of AI Builders shapes Pakistan’s digital future with Google

Karachi, Pakistan – 3 August – AI Seekho 2026 has wrapped as one of Pakistan’s largest AI developer
initiatives, a sign of how fast demand for AI skills is growing across the country’s tech ecosystem.
Organized by Google with the Ministry of IT & Telecommunication (MoITT), Telenor Pakistan, and
Innovista, the program drew over thousands of developers who built AI powered solutions with Google AI
Studio and Google Antigravity. At the national finale, participating teams competed for a total prize pool
of PKR 2.5 million, including a grand prize of PKR PKR 1,000,000.
The scale of AI Seekho 2026 reflects the rapidly expanding appetite for AI development across Pakistan.
The campaign engaged more than 50,000 developers and builders, generated over 17,000 registrations,
and resulted in more than 1,500 AI-powered solutions being submitted. These figures position the
initiative as a significant platform for discovering, developing, and showcasing Pakistan’s emerging AI
talent.
The results signal a defining shift in Pakistan’s technology landscape: wider access to AI tools is
empowering a more diverse generation of builders. Using Google AI Studio and Antigravity, participants
transformed ambitious ideas into functional products, showing the combined power of creativity, problem-
solving, and domain insight.
This democratization of technology lies at the heart of the initiative’s mission. AI Seekho 2026
demonstrates what happens when access—not background—becomes the deciding factor in innovation.
The diversity of participation further reinforced this inclusive approach: professionals accounted for 40%
of participants, while women represented 25% of overall participation. These numbers demonstrate that
Pakistan’s AI-building community is expanding beyond conventional technology circles and attracting
talent from different professional, educational, and demographic backgrounds. By lowering technical
barriers, Google is actively nurturing an agile, AI-ready builders capable of addressing Pakistan’s most
pressing challenges. Selecting the final winners came down to the wire, with three standout teams
capturing the absolute best of what the country’s rising talent can achieve.
