Karachi: MG Motors has introduced its new hybrid vehicle, the MG HS, in Pakistan. This vehicle operates on both petrol and electricity. Amid rising fuel prices, SUV owners are increasingly burdened by expensive fuel, making the timing of the MG HS launch appear well-judged.
The vehicle offers not only improved fuel efficiency but also modern features that make driving easier, more comfortable, and even enjoyable. With its entry into the market, strong competition is expected in Pakistan’s SUV segment in the coming days.
Preparations for the launch of the MG HS hybrid model in Pakistan have been completed. However, the most critical question—its price—remains unanswered. It is estimated that the vehicle could be priced between PKR 9 million and PKR 11 million. Being a hybrid, it is expected to be more expensive than its petrol variant. The final price will depend on applicable customs duties and government incentives for hybrid vehicles.
The second-generation HS features a modern and comfortable design. It includes a newly designed front grille, LED lights, and sporty bumpers. Additionally, improved aerodynamics enhance both speed performance and road grip.
Inside, the MG HS offers high-quality, soft materials and leather upholstery. Both front and rear seats provide ample space, ensuring a comfortable ride for all passengers.
The vehicle is expected to feature a turbocharged system along with an electric motor, delivering a combined output of up to 250 horsepower. Compared to conventional petrol engines, this setup allows for quicker acceleration. In urban areas, it will not only save fuel but also reduce harmful emissions.
