SYED ZIA ALAMDAR HUSSAIN, ABDUL JABBAR GAJIANI AND MIAN FARUKH IQBAL ELECTED CHAIRMAN, SENIOR VICE-CHAIRMAN & VICE-CHAIRMAN
Karachi: Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers & Exporters Association (PHMA) elects new Office Bearers & Executive Committee Members 2026-2028. Official result was announced in the Annual General Meeting held on 29-09-2026 whereby Syed Zia Alamdar Hussain, Abdul Jabbar Gajiani and Mian Farrukh Iqbal were elected as Chairman, Senior Vice Chairman and Vice Chairman, respectively.
The PHMA Executive Committee Members elected unopposed from Southern Zone are Abdul Jabbar Gajiani, Shabbir Haroon Bilwani, Muhammad Adeel Ayaz, Muhammad Jawed Bilwani, Mohammad Riaz Ahmed, Mahmood Nara, Akhtar Memon, Altaf Hussain, Mohammad Ilyas Gigi, Mohammad Saleem Nagaria, Iftikhar Ashraf, Sheryar Muhammad Bashir, Aman Ahmed Allahwalla and Noman Rauf. Abdul Jabbar Gajiani, Central Senior Vice Chairman will also head the Zonal Committee South as Zonal Chairman, while Shabbir Haroon Bilwani and Muhammad Adeel Ayaz have been elected Zonal Senior Vice-Chairman and Zonal Vice-Chairman respectively.
From Northern Zone newly elected PHMA Executive Committee Members are Syed Zia Alamdar Hussain, Izhar ul Haq, Naveed Afzal, Muhammad Zanoon Nazir, Ali Hassan, Nisar Ahmed, Muhammad Khubbab Anees, Naeem Malik, Muhammad Amanullah Khan, Ibrar Ahmed, Khawaja Musharaf Iqbal, Muhammad Akhtar, Sawaiz Ur Rehaman. Mian Farrukh Iqbal, Central Vice-Chairman will also head the Zonal Committee as Zonal Chairman while Izhar ul Haq and Naveed Afzal have been elected Zonal Senior Vice Chairman and Zonal Vice Chairman respectively.
The successful Office Bearers and Executive Committee Members candidates were supported by the Export Development Group (EDG) headed by Muhammad Jawed Bilwani who is also the Patron In-Chief of PHMA. Speaking on the occasion, Jawed Bilwani expressed the confidence that the newly elected representatives will make all efforts to espouse selflessly in their endeavours to cooperate in the resolving of issues and problems faced by our industry, in the best interests of our members and in further enhancing and boosting the exports. Outgoing Central Chairman, Muhammad Babar Khan further stated that sincere efforts were made during his chairmanship to achieve the desired objectives of PHMA to enhance exports, safeguard genuine rights of members and address and resolve problems and issues confronting to the industry.
Newly Elected Chairman Syed Abbas Alamdar Hussain, Senior Vice Chairman Abdul Jabbar Gajian and Vice Chairman Mian Farrukh Iqbal stated that it was an honour for them to be elected as the Office Bearers of PHMA which is the premier and largest Association of Value-Added Apparel & Textile sector of Pakistan. They paid tribute to the outgoing Chairman/ Office Bearers & Executive Committee saying the outgoing body in the lead of its Chairman had actively promoted the interests of the value-added textile industry throughout the year. He vowed to continue with his efforts for the promotion and protection of the Value-Added Textile Industry.
Outgoing Central Chairman Muhammad Babar Khand and Zonal Chairman Faisal Arshad Sheikh presented their Annual Activity Review in the AGM and apprised about their efforts to achieve the aims and objectives during their tenure. The General Body members recognized the services and efforts made by the outgoing Chairman & Office Bearers and felicitated the newly Elected Office Bearers & Executive Committee reposing confidence in them anticipating that they will also render their services and shall make best possible efforts to achieve the desired objectives of the Association.
