Karachi: PSO’s market share increased to 43.5% in April, compared to 42.8% in April last year. The rise was mainly driven by higher furnace oil sales.
During April, PSO sold 247,000 tons of petrol and 251,000 tons of diesel. However, on a year-on-year basis, petrol sales declined by 10% while diesel sales fell by 9%. During the first ten months of the current fiscal year, PSO’s cumulative sales stood at 2.526 million tons.
After PSO, Cnergyico ranked second, recording sales of 65,000 tons, up 4% year-on-year. The company posted a 10% increase in petrol sales and an 11% rise in diesel sales, while furnace oil sales remained stable.
