Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi Celebrate Sitara-i-Imtiaz Upon Abdul Rahim Janoo

Karachi: Governor Sindh, Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi visited REAP House, to attend REAP’s Celebration Lunch for conferment of the prestigious civil award “Sitara-i-Imtiaz” upon Abdul Rahim Janoo (S.I.) in recognition of his outstanding contributions to Pakistan’s rice export sector and his remarkable humanitarian services through free eye camps for underprivileged people across Pakistan and abroad.

Mr. Abdul Rahim Janoo is serving as Group Chairman of Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan, President of Memon Leadership Forum, and Chairman of Haji Razak Janoo Memorial Trust, the largest family eye charity trust in Pakistan.

Acting Chairman REAP, Muhammad Jawed Jillani, Executive Committee Members of REAP, and a large number of prominent members of the business community were also present on the occasion and congratulated Mr. Abdul Rahim Janoo on this prestigious achievement.

On the occasion, Hon. Governor Sindh, Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi presented a Gold Medal to Mr. Abdul Rahim Janoo.

During the meeting, Mr. Abdul Rahim Janoo expressed that REAP members have always remained united and committed to enhancing Pakistan’s rice exports by competing effectively in international markets and generating valuable foreign exchange for the country. Mr. Abdul Rahim Janoo

The Hon. Governor Sindh appreciated the efforts of Mr. Abdul Rahim Janoo and the all REAP team Members for their significant role in promoting Pakistan’s rice exports globally. He also proposed organizing an exclusive “Biryani Festival” at Sindh Governor House Karachi, where Ambassadors and Consul Generals would be invited to strengthen interaction with REAP members and to promote Pakistan’s rice culture internationally.

Hon. Governor Sindh also agreed to Mr. Abdul Rahim Janoo’s proposal for establishing a Rice Cell at Governor House, Karachi, and offered his full support and services for the promotion and enhancement of Pakistan’s rice exports. The announcement was warmly welcomed by the audience, who expressed their appreciation with thunderous applause.

Furthermore, the Hon. Governor Sindh appreciated the leadership and efforts of Field Marshal, Syed Asim Munir and H.E. Prime Minister of Pakistan for facilitating ease of doing business and supporting Pakistan’s business community in increasing exports for the economic development of the country.

Mr. Abdul Rahim Janoo welcomed the proposal of the Hon. Governor Sindh regarding the Biryani Festival and stated that REAP is ready for the event and requested to announce the date for the event, expressing confidence that the initiative would produce fruitful results for Pakistan’s rice sector and strengthen trade relations internationally.
