Karachi: In a statement issued to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, K-Electric announced that its Board of Directors has approved the appointment of Syed Taha as CEO. He will assume his responsibilities from April 15, 2026. Until then, the company’s affairs will continue to be managed by interim CEO Adeeb Ahmed.
Currently, Syed Taha is serving as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Pakistan State Oil. He has previously worked at K-Electric as Chief Distribution Officer.
In addition to holding an engineering degree, Syed Taha has completed an MBA in Finance from IBA. He possesses both academic knowledge and practical experience in overseeing the technical and financial operations of large engineering organizations.
Syed Taha has also held leadership roles in various key institutions in Pakistan as well as in engineering organizations abroad.
The position became vacant following the resignation of former CEO Moonis Alvi. Subsequently, the Board of Directors had appointed Adeeb Ahmed as the acting CEO.
