New mini-commercial BEV offers 257 km range, targeting urban logistics and small business needs
Jointly developed with Toyota and Daihatsu, model strengthens Suzuki’s electric mobility strategy
Tokyo: Suzuki Motor Corporation has officially launched its all-new mini-commercial battery electric vehicle (BEV) van, the “e EVERY,” in Japan, marking a significant step in the company’s push toward sustainable mobility solutions for urban businesses.
The newly introduced electric van has been developed in collaboration with Toyota Motor Corporation and Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd., reflecting a broader industry trend of partnerships aimed at accelerating EV innovation.
Designed primarily for commercial use, the “e EVERY” offers a driving range of up to 257 kilometers on a single charge, making it suitable for daily deliveries and small business operations in urban environments. The vehicle is powered by a 36.6 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, balancing safety, efficiency, and durability.
Suzuki emphasized that the electric van delivers a quiet yet powerful driving experience, supported by an integrated eAxle system that combines the motor, inverter, and transmission. The low-floor battery placement enhances stability and ride comfort, particularly on uneven city roads.
In addition to performance, the “e EVERY” has been designed with practicality in mind. It features a spacious cargo area with a load capacity of up to 350 kilograms, along with flexible seating options in both two-seater and four-seater configurations.
Safety remains a key focus, with advanced driver assistance technologies such as an emergency braking system and “Smart Assist” preventive safety features included as standard. Optional enhancements like digital rearview mirrors further improve visibility during cargo transport and night driving.
Notably, the vehicle also supports external power supply capabilities, allowing it to provide electricity during emergencies such as power outages—an increasingly important feature in disaster-prone regions.
Industry analysts see the launch as part of Suzuki’s broader strategy to expand its footprint in the growing electric commercial vehicle segment, particularly in last-mile delivery and urban mobility solutions. The move aligns with global trends where automakers are focusing on compact, efficient EVs tailored for city logistics.
With the introduction of the “e EVERY,” Suzuki is positioning itself to meet evolving market demands while contributing to reduced emissions and smarter urban transportation systems.
