Karachi: The National Incubation Center Karachi (NIC Karachi) successfully held the 3rd Pakistan Investor Lab (25th and 26th March 2026), bringing together a diverse group of investors, founders, and ecosystem leaders to strengthen Pakistan’s startup investment landscape. The two-day program served as a dynamic platform for investor education, hands-on training, and practical learning, while also enabling meaningful networking. The initiative reinforced NIC Karachi’s commitment to equipping participants with the knowledge and confidence needed to understand how and why to invest in startups.
The event commenced with an insightful introduction to early-stage investing by Syed Azfar Hussain, Project Director at NIC Karachi, setting the tone for a comprehensive agenda focused on building investor capacity and awareness around startup investing fundamentals.

By connecting investors and founders directly, and by delivering structured learning around startup investments, we are enabling participants to make informed decisions that support innovation and contribute to Pakistan’s economic development.”
Over two days, the Pakistan Investor Lab featured sessions designed to help participants understand the fundamentals of startup investment, including why startups present a unique asset class and how investors can strategically engage with them. Sessions covered managing investments, deal structuring, and effective investor-founder collaboration, while also highlighting the importance of informed decision-making in high-risk, high-reward environments.

Practical workshops focused on valuation techniques, risk assessment, due diligence, and legal and regulatory considerations providing participants with the tools needed to evaluate startup opportunities with clarity and confidence.
The program also included dedicated learning around portfolio management and exit strategies, helping participants understand the full lifecycle of startup investment from initial evaluation to eventual returns.
